“I’ve always been driven by a deep creative energy and a desire to bring meaningful ideas to life,” Alpha Marie Storvik, a Norwegian socialite and technology entrepeneur, begins her story by explaining what initially sparked her passion for entrepreneurship.
With a smile, she recalls, “In my teens my best friend and I launched our first entrepreneurial project—a clothing brand with a heartfelt social mission aimed at empowering women.” It wasn’t a commercial success, but it laid the groundwork for everything that followed. This early experience shaped her approach today, teaching her the importance of a clear vision, making thoughtful decisions, and building a team that’s genuinely curious and engaged.
The unique academic background of Alpha Marie Storvik
Her academic journey is as unique as her entrepreneurial one, blending the logic of Computer Science with the strategic thinking of Economics. “Studying computer science has profoundly altered how my brain processes the world. The discipline teaches you to structure your thoughts logically and clearly, providing a blueprint for effective communication and collaboration,” she shares. For her, the ability to share information effectively is essential. “Our ability to collaborate, communicate complex ideas through language, and leverage collective intelligence has led to every advancement we’ve achieved.”
These skills, combined with her knowledge of socio-economics, have shaped her problem-solving approach. “Socio-economics gave me a deep understanding of human behavior, motivations, and the intricacies of global markets,” she explains.

The power of travel and global experiences
Having lived and worked in diverse settings, her perspective on both life and business has evolved. “Travel has been my greatest teacher,” Alpha Marie Storvik admits. Her experiences range from working on social entrepreneurship projects in South African townships to studying in London and free-diving in Southeast Asia. Each place and each encounter broadened her understanding of humanity. “These experiences challenged many of the social norms I once took for granted, pushing me to question assumptions and see the world through a more nuanced lens,” she says.
This exposure to different cultures and environments has been key in shaping her adaptability and ability to connect with others. “They’ve given me invaluable global networks and a profound sense of greater purpose that guides every decision I make today.”
Family and friendships as foundations of success
Her family has also played a significant role in her development, instilling values that continue to guide her. “I am a reflection of the people around me, and my family has been foundational to everything I am,” she reflects warmly.
Her mother, a successful businesswoman and economist, taught her to embrace possibility and to never let fear dictate her choices. “She encouraged me to explore, travel, meditate, and never let fear define my path,” she shares.
Her father, an engineer, sparked her love for technology and problem-solving, even helping her build her first computer at the age of twelve. “At 12, he helped me build my first computer—one that I customized with purple butterflies and diamonds—fueling my passion for technology and problem-solving,” she remembers fondly.
Along with her brother, who leads by example with his kindness and adventurous spirit, her family has made her both fiercely independent and deeply collaborative.

The importance of supportive friendships
While her family has provided a strong foundation, her friendships have also played a pivotal role in her success.
“Friendships are the cornerstone of both happiness and success,” Alpha Marie Storvik says. Her circle of close friends—strong, driven, and kind women—has uplifted her throughout her personal and professional endeavors. “They’ve connected me to opportunities I could never have dreamed of and encouraged me to be fearless in pursuing my passions.”
She believes that surrounding oneself with people who genuinely believe in you and push you to grow is invaluable. “There is immeasurable power in surrounding yourself with people who genuinely believe in you, push you to grow, and stand by you in moments of vulnerability.”

Fashion as self-expression and empowerment
“Fashion has always been deeply personal for me—it’s both an art form and a mirror reflecting how society evolves,” says Alpha Marie Storvik, as she reflects on the role fashion plays in her life. Growing up, she was captivated by the power of runway shows, where designers could shape culture through clothing. Her style, she admits, has evolved over the years, mirroring different phases of her life.
For a long time, Alpha had a complicated relationship with fashion and femininity. She shares, “There were periods when I felt compelled to tone down my femininity, believing that being seen as ‘too feminine’ might somehow undermine my professional seriousness or competence.”
However, as she matured, Alpha found strength in embracing her femininity, saying, “Now, having matured and having worked alongside so many incredible women, I’ve learned to embrace femininity wholeheartedly. There’s genuine power in authenticity—in fully expressing who you are without compromise.”
Today, her fashion choices are driven by joy. She gravitates toward bright, cheerful colors and playful details. “Fashion empowers me because it allows me to communicate who I am,” she says.

The Harper’s Bazaar photoshoot: A reflection of her essence
When asked about the clothes chosen for the Harper’s Bazaar photo shoot, Alpha is full of praise: “I absolutely love the pieces chosen for this shoot—they perfectly capture my essence and reflect my personality beautifully.” She appreciates the colors and styles that align with her preferences—cool pastels and vibrant tones.
Alpha recalls the influence of her mother, who always encouraged her to wear colors that complemented her natural palette. “The outfits chosen today evoke joy, optimism, and elegance, aligning perfectly with the energy and authenticity I strive to embody in life,” she says. The experience of collaborating with the stylist during haute couture week in Paris was a memorable one. “Each piece feels playful yet sophisticated, confident yet approachable, truly reflecting the journey I’ve been on and the joyful person I am today.”
“At the end of the day, what matters most to me is working on things that excite me, surrounding myself with people who inspire me, and making a meaningful positive impact on the world,” Alpha Marie Storvik concludes.
